A webpage rewrite for
The North Face
This outdoor apparel company has a webpage that is dedicated to informing customers of their sustainable products and practices. Below I have rewritten the content while using their webpage’s layout and photos.
Protecting the places we love to explore
While making the best products for the outdoors, we strive to protect the planet for generations to come.
Committing to the path of sustainability.
With each step, we aim to lessen the impact on the places we love to explore. By being more intentional and innovative throughout the processes of The North Face, we can fulfill our climate commitments.
Our Climate Commitments
Scale Circularity.
Every passing second, the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is dumped into a landfill or burned. This means 87 percent of the material used to make clothing is wasted. To break this cycle, our brand has begun to utilize more sustainable materials in our products. Resourcing responsible and durable materials will not only lengthen the life of gear but also make a smaller impact on the environment. As of 2022, The North Face has launched multiple programs and product lines to keep used gear out of waste streams. Recycling previously-owned gear and reusing the raw materials can create less impactful apparel for outdoor enthusiasts. Our new Limited Lifetime Warranty program, Clothes the Loop program, and Renewed Collection will help us strive to protect the places we love in the outdoors.
100% responsibly-sourced apparel fabrics by 2025.
As technology advances and innovation unfolds, fabrics have become stronger and longer-lasting which are safer for the planet. By 2025, all apparel will be produced from recycled, regenerative, or responsibly-sourced renewable fabrics. By 2030, all equipment and footwear will follow suit. With ethical partners and sustainable supply chains, we believe we can be a part of the solution and clear a path for other outdoor brands to follow.
It is known that we must work together to combat climate change. The North Face is committed to working with suppliers and retailers that align with our mission and goals regarding sustainability. These efforts will set the tone for the outdoor apparel industry.
Leverage sustainable packaging.
As we strive to eliminate single-use plastic packaging by 2025, The North Face is designing less wasteful and recyclable packaging. Currently, all of our paper materials, such as hangtags or shipping boxes, are sourced from third-party-certified suppliers.
Align with suppliers and retailers.
